Kasondra Cohen I President & CEO

Kasondra Cohen is the Founder and President of Face of Today. The organization was created through a vision to help young underprivileged youth achieve success. She believes everyone deserves an equal opportunity to strive for their highest potential and work towards accomplishing their dreams. 

Travis McPherson I Director of Finance  

Travis is a Vancouver-based mining finance professional. Most recently, he worked at a boutique investment firm and now advises public and private company clients in the natural resource space on corporate strategy, M&A opportunities and capital raising. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, specializing in finance and entrepreneurship, from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He is also a Level 2 CFA Candidate.

McPherson has been surrounded by philanthropy his entire life and has been actively involved with Face of Today since inception. He aims to develop relationships to grow funding as well as to build innovative philanthropic initiatives, both locally and globally. 

Jordan Trimble I Director of Marketing

Jordan Trimble is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Skyharbour Resources. Trimble holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Minor in Commerce from UBC and he is a 2014 Level III CFA Candidate. He has worked in the resource industry in various roles with numerous TSX Venture listed companies specializing in corporate finance and strategy, shareholder communications, marketing, deal structuring and capital raising. Trimble has an extensive network of institutional and retail investors as well as resource industry professionals bringing valuable relationships to the Company. He has appeared on BNN several times and has given presentations at numerous resource conferences across North America. Trimble has completed the Canadian Securities Course and Technical Analysis Course offered through CSI as well as several geology, exploration and mining courses.

John James Wilson I Vice President

JJ has launched his retail store, Kit & Ace with locations opening up around the globe. His retail and fashion experience began at a young age: in his last year of undergrad at Ryerson University in the BComm program, JJ starting working in the Fashion Office at Holt Renfrew as mens trend forecaster. JJ then moved to New York to work for the Clinton Foundation followed a brief moment on a retail and consumer team in private equity working out of Boston. Upon his return to Vancouver, JJ built out the e-commerce and brand for Wings+Horns across North America and worked as the men’s design and vision lead for Lululemon Athletica.

Mike MacKay I Director of Corporate Affairs

Mike is a real estate professional specializing in acquisitions, finance and development and has represented his country in rugby on a provincial and national level. From serving meals at soup kitchens to securing financing for micro-finance loans in Columbia, some of Michael’s most rewarding life experiences have been realized through volunteer opportunities; namely with youth with a Mission in Guatemala, as a Clinton Foundation intern serving in New York City and Africa, and as a teacher at Harambee Christian Center in Pasadena, California. Realizing the importance of organization, planning and leadership in the success of volunteer initiatives, he also serves on the boards of two local charities.

Hilary Chan-Kent I Director of Communications

Hilary is a communications, marketing and brand strategy expert. Her specialty is creating strategic partnerships and building relationships. As past Chief Brand Officer at Blo Blow Dry Bar, Hilary worked with Gwyneth Paltrow and David Babaii and brands such as InStyle, Mattel and Guess. Hilary currently is Partner and Director of Brands at Wanderlust Management, Canada’s first management agency for online influencers.

Darcie | Chief Financial Officer 

Darcie is a Sr. Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager with Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management. As a Certified Investment Manager (CIM) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP), Darcie provides clients expertise related investment portfolio strategies as well as comprehensive financial planning. Darcie has a great passion in working with youth, particularly those struggling with mental health and addiction, which has made the Face of Today foundation a perfect fit. Darcie is a graduate of the honors business administration (HBA) program at The Richard Ivey School of Business. She has been recognized at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management as a member of the President’s Club (2013) and Chairman’s Club (2014, 2015).
